The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are continuing to pursue their media careers to fund their expensive lifestyle and hefty security bill

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have enjoyed relative success on Netflix; their controversial docuseries 'Harry & Meghan' premiered on the streaming giant with a total of 81.55 million hours watched in its first week, making it the highest viewing time of any documentary streaming debut.

Prince Harry and Meghan have had less luck with Spotify, where their deal "mutually" ended prematurely and a senior executive publicly branded them "grifters".


Weeks after the Duchess announced the launch of her new lifestyle website 'American Riviera Orchard', Harry and Meghan's production company Archewell Productions has announced two new nonfiction series.

In a clear break from royal protocol, keeping in mind they are no longer working members of the Royal Family and are entitled to do so, Meghan's project is listed first on the Sussex.com website.

"Curated by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, and in partnership with The Intellectual Property Corporation (a part of Sony Pictures Television), will celebrate the joys of cooking & gardening, entertaining, and friendship."

Right up Meghan's street, perhaps the series could be interpreted as a small-screen version of her former lifestyle blog 'The Tig' which she gave up upon her engagement to Prince Harry.

The prince, son of King Charles III and fifth in line to the British throne, comes second in the announcement.

Harry's series "will provide viewers with unprecedented access to the world of professional polo. Known primarily for its aesthetic and social scene, the series will pull the curtain back on the grit and passion of the sport, capturing players and all it takes to compete at the highest level."

Harry and Meghan will likely insist they are one team, with neither side trying to 'outshine' the other - a strategy Prince Harry openly criticised in his memoir 'Spare' where he claimed different royal households sometimes operated against each other.

Fans of Meghan might praise the Duchess, as a champion of women's rights and a former advocate for UN Women, for having such a modern and feminist approach to a formal announcement.

All of this could simply be a coincidence, but The Duke and Duchess' critics could jump to conclusions about who is pulling the strings behind the scenes.
