The Duchess of Sussex celebrated International Women’s Day by visiting Harvest Home.

Meghan Markle was seen beaming in new pictures just hours after the her and Prince Harry's major announcement.

This week has been historic for the Sussexes as it was confirmed that their children Archie and Lilibet had become prince and princess.

Meghan and Harry referred to their daughter as Princess Lilibet for the first time officially on Wednesday as they announced she had been christened.

The Royal Family confirmed the title change and has now updated the children's titles on their website to Prince Archie of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex.

Meghan Markle was volunteering at Harvest Home on Wednesday to mark International Women's Day.

Harvest Home helps provide housing, mental well-being support, and classes to expectant mothers who have faced tremendous challenges including domestic violence, substance use and homelessness.

The organisation which was founded in 1985 has supported over 600 pregnant women and their children.

Meghan's appearance came on the same day Buckingham Palace confirmed that her children would be able to use the titles of prince and princess.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also released a statement addressing their children's new titles.

The Sussexes said: "The children's titles have been a birthright since their grandfather became Monarch.

"This matter has been settled for some time in alignment with Buckingham Palace."

Archie and Lilibet's titles as princess and prince will be used in formal settings, but not everyday use by the couple.

However, the Sussexes are keen not to deny their children their birthright but wish to let Archie and Lilibet decide for themselves when they are older, if they wish to keep using their titles or drop them later on.

At the time of the late Queen’s death and the King’s accession, a spokesman for the King pledged to update Archie and Lilibet’s names on the site “as and when we get information”.
