Meghan Markle added a secret personal touch to her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.

The Duchess of Sussex launched her brand in March with an Instagram and website page.

The pages showed an elegant logo with the words American Riviera Orchard Montecito in gold writing.

It has been noticed that the text for the logo is in Meghan’s own handwriting which is fitting as the duchess has experience in calligraphy.

The Duchess of Sussex previously worked as a calligrapher and taught calligraphy, gift-wrapping and book binding at the Paper Source store in Beverly Hills from 2004 to 2005.

Paper Source CEO, Winnie Park, said in a previous interview: “It was her part-time job as she was going through auditions.”

Meghan also worked as a freelance calligrapher for celebrity clients; the duchess wrote the invitations for Robin Thicke and Paula Patton’s 2005 wedding.

Park told People: “She taught calligraphy and hosted a group of customers and instructed them during a two-hour class on how to do calligraphy.”

Meghan showed her artistic skills after her wedding to Prince Harry after she signed a guest book with a beautiful signature leading the duke to comment that her writing was “much nicer than mine!”

Meghan’s calligraphy skills also shone through in the crest featured in the American Riviera Orchard logo, elegantly combining an A, O and an R, with extra detailing.

Meghan previously spoke about her love for handwritten cards on her old lifestyle blog, The Tig.

She said: “I think handwritten notes are a lost art form, the idea of someone taking the time to put pen to paper is really special.”

It comes as Meghan debuted an American Riviera Orchard product by sending friends Tracy Robbins and Delfina Balquier strawberry jam.

The duchess’s pals gushed over the product on Instagram with Balquier stating: “Strawberry jam makes me happy and I love your jam, @AmericanRivieraOrchard.”

The jars of jam have a number on them from 1 to 50 indicating that there has been a limited number of the project made.

The duchess is set to release a range of products in expansion to her luxury brand from makeup to dog shampoo.
