The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's popularity has slumped in America at the start of 2023

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are facing a nightmare as their popularity slumps in the US, with a royal commentator stating that Americans want the couple to move back to the UK.

LA-based Kinsey Schofield told GB News that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry need to apologise to the Royal Family after firing multiple attacks at the Firm.

Schofield said: “I am going to tell you something you do not want to hear, in the States the conversation is Harry and Meghan need to apologise and they need to move back to the UK.

“That is what we are saying here in America, that they need to move back to the UK. I know that is the last thing Brits want.

“We realise that the only thing interesting about them is their relatives, they are not interesting people, they're not exciting people, there's nothing inside of them.

“They don't provide anything and I think that what we liked about them was their relation to the British Royal Family, so I think that they've got to be closer to the British Royal Family.”

She continued: “They can learn a lot from the Royal Family. Less is more.

“This is the result of over-exposure and they're sharing way too much information.

"We did not need to know about the Elizabeth Arden cream, so I think that this is just a result of over-sharing.

“Americans are waiting for them to begin their life of service.

"And the problem with fame, which Meghan Markle has chased all of her life, is that the bigger you get, the more the public holds you accountable.

“We're stumbling upon a lot of inconsistencies. Remember, when they left the Royal Family, they told us they were going to be working with grassroots independent journalists."

Schofield's comments come as new polling in the US found that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's popularity has decreased.

In early December, Prince Harry's popularity was +38 compared to -7 in the latest January poll.

Whilst Meghan Markle was less popular than Prince Harry in the US, the Duchess of Sussex had a positive polling score of + 23. However, Meghan's popularity has fallen to -13 in the newest poll.

Whilst Meghan is currently more unpopular than her husband in the US, Prince Harry's popularity has suffered the bigger blow, dropping 45 points compared to the 36-point decrease for the Duchess of Sussex.

The poll from Redfield & Wilton, was made up of 2,000 US voters
