King Charles has made his first public appearance since Kate’s cancer diagnosis with a private meeting.
The monarch met with community faith leaders at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.
The King has stepped back from public-facing duties as he receives cancer treatment but continues to hold private meetings.
Charles met with community and faith leaders from across the UK who had taken part in a Windsor Leadership Trust programme.

The leaders, who met with the King around a large table in the Palace’s Billiard Room, were from the Muslim, Jewish and Christian faiths.
In February, 18 leaders were invited to St. George’s House at Windsor Castle for a two-day meeting with the Windsor Leadership Trust for The Faith Leaders’ Forum.
At the meeting, they shared their experiences of leading their communities during a time of international tensions.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement that King Charles “met with a selection of faith leaders to hear about their participation in The Forum and how it had strengthened their determination to promote community harmony and understanding.”

King Charles has been advocating for community cohesion for many years and works to support understanding across religions.
During his time as the Prince of Wales, Charles worked to promote tolerance and understanding of different communities and faiths.
At the King’s Coronation in May 2023, he made sure that different faith groups were all represented.
The executive director of the British Asian Trust, Hitan Mehta, told PEOPLE at a service in Westminster Abbey that the King understands “different faiths and cultures in the United Kingdom”.

Mehta said: “He gets it. He gets the people he is head of state for.
“I think he is a person who understands the United Kingdom and the diversity of this nation. He also understands the challenges in front of people here in the UK.”
It comes as Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles and Queen Camilla will attend this week’s Easter Sunday service.
This will be the monarch’s first official outing since his cancer diagnosis.

Other members of the Royal Family are also expected to join Charles and Queen Camilla at the Easter service.
However, Princess Kate and Prince William will not be attending following the Princess of Wales’s cancer diagnosis.
In previous years, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie and Princess Anne and her children, Peter Philips and Zara Tindall have attended the event.
Peter Philips has recently said that the King is “hugely frustrated” with his ongoing cancer treatment and that he can’t “do everything that he wants to be able to do”.
