King Charles will "never go out to Montecito" to enlist Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, a royal commentator has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the Santa Barbara neighbourhood in 2020 after stepping back as senior royals.

Royal commentator Tom Quinn claimed that despite the Duke of Sussex, 39, potentially returning to the UK in May, he is unlikely to return to royal duties with his wife.

Quinn said: "Harry is scheduled to speak at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on May 8 to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

"The Games were founded by Harry when he was still a working royal so pressure isn’t being brought to bear to make him give it up now."

He continued to tell The Mirror: "But even if Harry begged to be allowed back to help out.

"Even if his father King Charles became so ill he was unable to carry out his duties.

"Wwhatever happens, the call to help will never go out to Montecito.

"Making the US his primary residence is Harry’s final goodbye."

Prince Harry declared the US to be his country of residence amid the ongoing legal battle surrounding his visa documents.

Documents submitted to Companies House in the UK showed the Duke of Sussex amended his filings for Travalyst to declare he is usually a resident in the US rather than Britain.

Prince Harry founded Travalyst, a global coalition of some of the biggest names in travel, in 2019.

This was one year before he relocated to the US with his wife Meghan Markle, 42.

It comes as the Biden administration is facing pressure to release Harry's visa records after he admitted to taking illegal drugs in his memoir Spare.

The Heritage Foundation is taking legal action against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in a bid to force officials to release Harry's documents.

The organisation wants to see if the royal admitted to using illegal drugs before gaining a US visa.
