The freezing and tough weather conditions did not stop the Princess of Wales from getting stuck into the exercises.

Kate watched medical training and casualty exercises during the royal engagement.

She was then invited to take part in the training herself, during which she learned how to carry out battlefield casualty drills to deliver care to injured soldiers.

Earlier today it was reported that Kate was invited to Lilibet Diana's christening by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

A source told People that King Charles, Camilla, Prince William and Princess of Wales all received invitations from the Sussexes.

However, none of the senior royals attended the christening.

The invitation to the quartet of royals could be an olive branch from Sussexes ahead of King Charles's Coronation.
