The Princess of Wales has not been seen in public since Christmas Day in 2023

Princess Kate wore a beautiful white Jenny Packham dress for her first royal outing in 2024.

The Princess of Wales announced on Friday that she would be attending the King's official birthday parade at the weekend, after spending six months recuperating following major abdominal surgery.

The Princess of Wales, who announced in March she was undergoing chemotherapy, made her first public outing in 2024 today.

The Princess of Wales has worn several evening dresses from the British fashion designer throughout her time as a working royal.

While Packham is known for creating stunning evening gowns for Kate, she’s crafted a few cocktail dresses and casual daytime looks for the princess too.

Today's dress was a simple knee-length white design, with a white and black bow on her right shoulder.

Kate paired her Jenny Packham dress with a wide-brimmed Philip Treacy hat.

Treacy is the Royal Family's go-to designer for hats and fascinators.

The Princess of Wales also wore the Irish Guards brooch, a nod to her position as the honorary Colonel of the Irish Guards.

Kate donned white stilettos and carried a black clutch bag to match her simple but elegant outfit.

On Friday, Kate issued a written statement to confirm her attendance at Saturday's Trooping the Colour.

She said: "I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet."

The Princess of Wales released a video message in March announcing that she had undergone preventative chemotherapy after cancer was found in tests following her significant abdominal surgery at the start of 2024.

Kate's appearance today is her first official public outing since joining the Royal Family at the walk to Sandringham Church on Christmas Day.
