The Princess of Wales is 'careful' with her fashion tactics

Princess Kate's wardrobe is set for "clever" style choices, with a fashion expert claiming that "people will notice her".

The Princess of Wales was photographed just last week wearing a designer floor-length gown to King Charles's 75th birthday party.

The 41-year-old appeared the next day wearing a smart purple trouser suit designed by Emilia Wickstead for her Shaping Us initiative.

Style expert Susie Nelson, who founded Modes and More, spoke exclusively to GB News to explain Kate's tactics when it comes to picking her outfits.

Nelson explained: "Kate's choice of evening gown for the King's birthday celebration was quite a clever one.

"The colour green is bright and powerful.

"Black would have been a bit bleak, and red too festive.

"Needle and Thread who produced the dress are known for using responsibly sourced fabrication and a commitment to sustainability.

"That is, they use recycled sequins and polyester.

"The price point is mid-market for an evening gown, so she is not seen to be spending excessively. On a practical note, sequins don't crease."

Nelson also analysed the purple trouser suit that Kate wore the following day.

She explained: "The purple trouser suit by Emilia Wickstead, which Kate wore for the Early Childhood Development conference, was another careful choice.

"She has worn the suit previously in 2021, being seen to wear clothes more than once.

"This time she accessorised it with blue shoes and jewellery - a great colour combination.

"The colour ensures people notice her and she is visible but is also considered to be the colour of royalty.

"A trouser suit is business-like, and reflects her growing confidence and status within the Royal Family."
