In a clip posted to Instagram with the caption: "The most beautiful princess" Kate is filmed walking past a young boy.
The child softly shouts: "Hi Princess" and Kate immediately stops and waves at the boy.
The Princess of Wales then walks over and asks "What's your name? Have you had a fun day?"
Kate then compliments the youngster's toy asking: "What's this? Very cool. I like that."
Before leaving the area the Princess of Wales tells the boy: "Nice to meet you."
It is not the first time Kate has delighted royal fans with her heartwarming and approachable manner.
In January, Kate put a visibly nervous fan at ease during an engagement in Leeds.
The royal was asked for a photo by a fan that wanted to capture the moment he met the Princess of Wales.
