A royal insider has slammed the new book for reopening wounds within the monarchy.

They told the Mirror: "It appears no matter what happens behind closed doors, even in a time of such pain and grief, that where the Royal Family are concerned it will one day emerge.

"Nothing is off limits with William and Kate appearing to be this author’s number one target.

"It only takes a few months for the knives to come out again and the wounds to be opened up."

In the extract Scobie claims Prince William ignored Prince Harry's multiple attempts to contact him on September 8 2022.

A source close to the Sussex said regarding Harry's treatment on September 8 2022: "It was upsetting to witness."

They added: "[Harry] was completely by himself on this."

Another royal source said: "William ignored him."

"He clearly didn’t want to see his brother."

The Royal Family were unable to reach the Duke of Sussex during his 70-minute flight despite many attempts and decided to announce the Queen's death before telling Harry privately.

The extract claims that when Prince Harry landed in Scotland he received a text from Meghan urging him to call her as soon as possible followed by a breaking news notification from the BBC announcing the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Scobie's Endgame will be published on Tuesday, November 28th 2023.
