The King is the only senior member of the Royal Family who is speaking to Meghan and Harry

Kate and Prince William have turned their backs on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as the divide between the couples shows no signs of closing.

King Charles is understood to be the only senior member of the Royal Family who is speaking to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Despite this, the King has had limited contact with his son as he was too busy to see Harry during the Duke's latest trip to the UK.

Unsurprisingly, Prince William and Kate were also unavailable to see Harry in March when he flew to London for a hearing of a privacy case against Associated Newspapers Limited.

Prince Harry has now confirmed he will go to his father's Coronation in May and a source claimed the Duke of Sussex was "desperate" to be there.

King Charles is happy Harry will be at the historic ceremony but Prince William does not look to share the same sentiment.

A source said Prince William was left "baffled" by his brother's decision to delay announcing his attendance at King Charles's Coronation.

Meghan and Harry missed the Royal Family's RSVP date of April 3 and announced their plans nine days later.

The Prince of Wales felt his brother was "deliberately stringing out" his announcement.

However, Prince William and Kate are expected to tolerate Prince Harry at the Coronation but the couple are not on speaking terms with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Prince William and Kate have reportedly not spoken to Prince Harry since Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022.

A new royal book claimed that Kate found participating in a walkabout with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle following the Queen's death "one of the hardest things she had to do" due to the underlying tension between the couples.

The image of unity that the four royals portrayed during the walkabout was labelled an "illusion" in the same novel.

The Princess of Wales is also said to have "built up resentment towards Meghan" due to Charles asking William not to bring his wife with him to see the Queen in her final moments so that it would be fairer for the Duchess of Sussex when she was asked not to attend.

As Kate and William have continued to undertake a host of royal engagements there has been little time to remedy their feud and with the Coronation approaching, that will not change.
