The Princess of Wales passed on a question from her sons to Spanish tennis star and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz.
In a video posted on social media by BBC Sport, Kate Middleton, 42, asked the 21-year-old star tennis star who his favourite Spanish football player is, ahead of the country's 2-1 win against England later that evening.
Princess Kate, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment, saw Spanish reigning champion Alcaraz take on veteran Novak Djokovic, winning the Men's Singles title in three sets.
Speaking to him after the match, she admitted "the boys", most likely referring to her sons George, 10, and Louis, six, were interested in the tennis pro's thoughts on his country's football stars.

The Wimbledon champion answered: "'Alvaro Morata for me" smiling as he held onto the trophy presented to him by Kate.
The Princess of Wales replied: "We'll have to watch out for Morata."
Carlos added that he thinks 17-year-old Barcelona star Yamine Lamal, who plays as a right winger, is "always good as well."
Saying her goodbyes, Kate smiled and told the tennis pro to "enjoy his win."

Kate, patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, spoke to ball boys and girls after she entered Centre Court to loud applause on Sunday afternoon.
Before passing the trophy to Alcaraz, Kate commiserated and shook the hand of runner-up Novak Djokovic.
Kate, wearing a purple Safiyaa dress, attended Sunday’s final with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and her sister Pippa Matthews.
A photograph posted on Wimbledon’s X account showed Charlotte shaking the hand of Alcaraz as he held the trophy inside the championship’s grounds.

Actors Tom Cruise, Benedict Cumberbatch and Julia Roberts were among the other famous faces in the royal box for Sunday’s final.
While meeting the players, Kate said Charlotte, who was wearing a navy polka dot dress, had been "practising yesterday" and that tennis was "really great for the youngsters."
Kate said she had been "filling in the leaderboard" with Charlotte during Wimbledon, adding: "As a family, we play a lot."
After being asked to try wheelchair tennis by Lucy Shuker, Kate said: "I’ve tried wheelchair rugby before, but not tennis. You’ll have to hold me to that."
