Winner Sinner engaged in a brief conversation with the Princess as she handed him his first Wimbledon championship trophy. The Italian's victory marked a changing of the guard at the All England Club.
Princess Kate's trophy presentation duties form part of her responsibilities as patron of the prestigious tennis club, a role she inherited from Queen Elizabeth in 2016.

The royal party for the championship's final day included Prince William and the couple's two eldest children, 11-year-old Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Their youngest son, Prince Louis, who turned seven in April, did not attend the outing.
The absence follows a pattern established by his older siblings, who both made their Wimbledon debuts at age eight.
