Princess Kate's mother Carole Middleton is depicted as desperate and pushy in the final episodes of The Crown's sixth season.
The royal drama focuses on the early days of Kate and William's relationship including the role Carole Middleton played in manoeuvring her daughter closer to the royal.
Carole features heavily in the second part of the final season of The Crown which was released today.
Sources close to the Middleton suggested the depiction of Carole will not be well received by the family.

It depicts Carole orchestrating her daughter's switch to St Andrew's University as well as a place on the same gap year expedition to Chile as Prince William.
Ahead of Kate's appearance at the university fashion show that Prince William will attend her mother says: "Heels not flats, you still want to show off those legs. It’s our duty to make use of the assets God has given us.
"Does he know you’re back on the market? Maybe find a way of letting him know."

During another scene in The Crown Carole says: "When I first met your father he was way out of my reach, I was just a lowly stewardess. Trolley dolly.
"I felt like the luckiest woman in the world … Then I realised that maybe it was the other way around, that he’d been lucky to have me.
"Never underestimate yourself. Never think there’s anything in this world you’re not good enough for."

During another scene, Kate hits back at her mother's attempts to bring her closer to Prince William.
She says: "Once you had the idea fixed in your head you never stopped."
Kate adds: "You don’t know him. What if William isn’t right for me? What about what I want?"
Kensington Palace has declined to comment on the episodes.
