Tom Bower says what Meghan and Harry have done is 'quite shameful'

Royal biographer Tom Bower has blasted Prince Harry and Meghan Marke, following the release of Omid Scobie's latest book Endgame.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussexes unofficial mouthpiece and cheerleader Scobie released his latest bombshell novel in the UK today, in a fresh attack on the monarchy.

Meghan and Harry, who left the royal family in 2020 for a "private" life in California, have been accused by Bower of "informing" Scobie.

The Duchess of Sussex had previously admitted to briefing Scobie for his first biography Finding Freedom, which tells the story of the royal couple's exit from working royal life.

Speaking to GB News, Tom Bower accused the couple of "informing" Scobie and "continuing their war" with the royals.

Bower said: "what he does is he doesn't actually talk to Meghan directly, as he didn't for Finding Freedom. He talks to the press man or press woman."

When host Camilla Tominey questioned if Scobie is a 'mouthpiece' for the couple, Bower highlighted: "He's saying he's had no help, but why would he be praising the Sussexes other than being as their cheerleader?"

Bower then claimed: "The Sussexes are continuing their war. They are all the time looking for a way to needle and to discomfort and to destabilise the royal family, because it's in their financial and professional interest.

"And that is really where the sin of this book is, that actually the attack on royal family is Meghan and Harry talking in their anger that they can't actually make any headway in California, in America, with their careers, other than by rubbishing the royal family, who tried their hardest to make them feel at home and all the rest of it.

"And so I think what Scobie's doing is quite shameful.

"But on the other hand, what I think Meghan and Harry have done is quite shameful. So they're in the same boat."

Amongst the claims, it is suggested that two members of the royal household "expressed concern" for Meghan and Harry's son Archie and the colour of his skin.

Scobie has also called the Princess of Wales, Princess Kate "lazy", and suggested there is a "small scale rivalry" between King Charles and Prince William.
