The Duchess of Sussex hinted that her children could learn a sport during the 2025 Invictus Games

Meghan Markle said she hopes her children Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, will take up skiing one day, and potentially during the next Invictus Games which will be held in Canada in 2025.

Skiing is a sport that is loved by many members of the Royal Family, including Prince William and Princess Kate.

In conversation with Bridget Bridge, the wife of an IG25 board member, the Duchess of Sussex said she wanted her children to learn to ski.

Bridge told The Mirror: "Meghan said that she really wanted her children to learn to ski and that maybe Whistler was the ideal place.

"She said she didn’t ski so we told her they must come and learn.”

Although Meghan is not a skier, the Prince and Princess of Wales are very skilled at the winter sport.

They have previously travelled together to a ski resort called Courchevel in the French Alps.

In 2016, William and Kate brought their eldest two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to Les Trois Vallées.

Now that Meghan has confirmed her hopes to take Archie and Lilibet skiing one day, she might follow in the Walses's footsteps and take the children to the French Alps in the coming years with Prince Harry.

Les Trois Vallées is frequented by A-listers including the Beckhams, George Clooney, and Lionel Richie.

The resort is also home to Michelin-starred restaurants and designer boutiques.

Another royal who loved to ski was the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

During the 1980s, Diana would frequently hit the slopes in locations like Liechtenstein and Klosters in Switzerland.

The late princess would often take William and Harry when they were children, which is likely where they developed the skills they have today.

It is unknown if the Duke of Sussex has ever taken his wife skiing, or if she has simply never attempted the sport.

But Meghan could now learn the basics alongside her children during the next Invictus Games, which will be held in Whistler and Vancouver in 2025.
