King Charles was diagnosed with cancer earlier today

Meghan Markle "won't be pleased" if Prince Harry rebuilds his relationship with the King, a royal commentator has alleged.

Angela Levin made the claims after it has been revealed that the Duke of Sussex will be returning to the UK to visit his father after a shocking cancer diagnosis.

Speaking to Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg on GB News Levin explained that Harry was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Rees-Mogg said: "I expect that Harry will be welcomed back with open arms won't her?"

Levin responded: "I can't say, I absolutely agree with you because it depends if Harry is still thinking only in terms of me, me, me.

"When he's come over to London or phones he wants to tell his father that he still wants him to apologise, and particularly to Megan for the way she was treated.

"He's got so many moans that they go back to when he was quite a small child. He's got a great list, and I think that wouldn't be a good thing to do. I think it's good that he's coming, but he's got to come with an apology.

"He should actually take responsibility for upsetting his father hugely, not arrive, and then say, you know, I want you to apologise."

Meghan is not coming with him and I think that Harry has a big mountain to climb if he does become very close to his father again.

"I don't think she will be pleased whatsoever. And he's got this rock that he's in, whether he upsets Megan or he upsets his father.

"I think it will be very unexpected if Harry now changes the way that he's behaving, not just for 10 or 15 minutes with his father, but from now on.

"I don't think that will happen because Megan will not let him."

A source close to the Duke of Sussex has confirmed he has spoken with the King about his diagnosis. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle relocated to the US in 2020 following the fallout of a feud in the Firm.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex quit royal duties and subsequently settled in California after a stint in Canada.

King Charles left hospital last week after an operation on an enlarged prostate.

Buckingham Palace noted it was during this procedure that a "separate issue of concern was noted".
