The Duchess of Sussex's interview with Bloomberg coincided with launch of the second series of With Love, Meghan on Netflix

Meghan Markle has been dragged into an awkward situation after her latest interview was accused of having a laughing track edited into the video.

A scene from the Duchess of Sussex’s interview with Emily Chang for Bloomberg, which was posted on YouTube last month, has caught the attention of royal fans.

During the conversation, Meghan discussed her self-confidence, and the two women laughed together as she joked: “Age helps, I'll be 44!”

However, royal fans noticed that one loud laugh did not appear to come from Meghan or the Bloomberg host.

One person said: “Who is laughing? That didn’t come from Emily Chang? Her body doesn’t move?

“Did they dub on an extra laugh to make Meghan seem more funny?

Another stated: “Definitely sounds like an intense burst of laughter dubbed in' and 'She's using laugh tracks?”

A third wrote: “That was so strange!!”

During the same interview, Meghan issued fresh clarification over her surname and Royal Family title.

Meghan said: "When I got married, I changed my name.

“It's a complicated one for people to understand because a last name is not typical in that construct.

She continued: "My legal name is Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, but Sussex for us works as our family name.

“It's the name that we share with our children, but yes since we've been married, that's what I've been called."

Meghan's use of "Sussex" as a surname follows established royal protocol as the practice of royals using their titles as surnames is longstanding within the Royal Family.

It represents a common shorthand that has been employed by numerous members of the monarchy throughout generations.
