Protesters have told the Vice President he is 'unwelcome' in Britain

JD Vance will "find the resistance waiting" at his family holiday in the Cotswolds next month, furious protesters have wanred.

An "anti-Donald Trump coalition" of climate protesters, pro-Palestinian demonstrators and trade unions have told the US Vice President to prepare for backlash during his family trip.

Vance's visit is expected to take place in the UK shortly after Donald Trump's upcoming five-day stay in Scotland, scheduled to start on Friday.

A spokesman from the Stop Trump coalition said: "We are meeting Trump with protests in Aberdeen and Edinburgh this month, and then in London and Windsor in September.

"JD Vance is every bit as unwelcome in the UK as Donald Trump.

"We are sure that, even in the Cotswolds, he will find resistance waiting."

Vance will be joined by his wife Usha and their three young children: eight-year-old Ewan, five-year-old Vivek and Mirabel, three.

The family are expected to explore London before renting a cottage in the Cotswolds, and then travelling to Scotland.

Protesters have warned JD Vance he will 'find the resistance waiting' during his family holiday in the Cotswolds next month

Stop Trump describes itself as "a group of campaigners across the UK determined to resist Trump and Trumpism".

The group had already announced their plans to protest against the President's trip to Scotland, with plans including hanging banners and flags along roads - and inscribing a large message on a nearby beach which will be visible by air.

They have now threatened that the VP will see a repeat of his family's experience last year on a skiing holiday.

In March, Vance was met by hundreds of protesters holding pro-Ukraine signs in Vermont when he visited for a skiing holiday.

Vance was branded a "national disgrace" by the protesters, and told to "go ski in Russia".

The Vances later had to move to an undisclosed location for the remainder of their holiday due to the demonstrations.

Earlier this month, Vance was met by more fury after he visited Disneyland in California.

Protesters waved flags and chanted whilst gathered outside the Grand California Hotel where he and his children were staying.

People visiting Disneyland at the time also complained of delays, closures and long lines due to additional security measures put in place for the VP.

This week, Trump is set to check in on his business interests in Scotland, as well as meet Sir Keir Starmer in Aberdeen.

The Commander-in-Chief, who will visit his Trump Turnberry golf course in Ayrshire on the west coast before opening a new course on his Meine Estate in Aberdeenshire on the northeast coast, has in the past been very critical of protests against his visits.

He has labelled protesters "terrorists" and raised the incident with the Prime Minister after his Turnberry golf course was daubed with pro-Palestine graffiti.
