Elon Musk has deleted tweets alleging Donald Trump was named in the Jeffrey Epstein files, following an explosive public row between the two former allies over the President's spending legislation.
The Tesla billionaire has since removed the posts in what appeared to be an attempt to mend their relationship, after going "nuclear" during a social media spat on Thursday night.
During the disagreement, Musk had claimed the US president was mentioned in government documents relating to the late paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, even sharing footage of Trump and Epstein socialising together in the 1980s and 1990s.
The tech entrepreneur also suggested that Trump should be removed from office as their dispute over the President's flagship spending Bill intensified.

Trump told NBC News on Saturday he had "no desire" to speak to Musk, accusing him of being "disrespectful to the office of the President".
Asked if their relationship was over, he replied: "I would assume so."
The President dismissed Musk's Epstein allegations as "old news" that had been "talked about for years".
He added: "Even Epstein's lawyer said I had nothing to do with it."

The row began when Musk criticised the President's tax-and-spend Bill as a "disgusting abomination" that would increase national debt and bankrupt America.
On Friday, Trump hit back at Musk, calling him a man who has “lost his mind”.

Vance said: "I hope that eventually Elon comes back into the fold. Maybe that's not possible now because he's gone so nuclear but I hope it is."
Musk previously named Vance his preferred successor to President Trump.
The dispute has had significant financial consequences, with Tesla shares plummeting 14.3 per cent on Thursday and Musk's net worth dropping by approximately £25billion.
Steve Bannon, Trump's former chief strategist, encouraged the President to investigate Musk's immigration status and have him "deported from the country immediately".
