Republican commentator Nora Lee Notzon has expressed outrage over Donald Trump's stance on Iran, telling GB News she feels "betrayed" by the President's recent decisions.
Her comments followed US military strikes against key Iranian military sites over the weekend.
She explained: "I think he's tried to quiet a few of the dissenters, but on the whole, as a Republican, as a patriot, I feel betrayed by this decision.
"I think now that he's talking about regime change and making Iran great again, his base is going to be very disappointed, because they voted for Trump to make America great again. No new wars, no adventures, no failed 2003 Iraq War.

"This will be a disaster for our economy, for our budget deficit, and for our security.
"There have been security warnings issued overnight for Americans abroad.

Trump posted on his Truth Social platform over the weekend, questioning the possibility of regime change in Iran.
"It's not politically correct to use the term, 'Regime Change,' but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN.

"Why wouldn't there be a Regime change??? MIGA!!!" the President wrote on Sunday.
Despite Trump's suggestion of regime change, several administration officials had previously emphasised that the strikes were not intended to topple Iran's Government.
Notzon added: "It's an absolute mistake that we got dragged into this, and it's going to be an absolute distraction to what his platform was, what he got voted on, and it's going to hurt him in the midterms as well.
