Rishi Sunak has been dealt a major blow after a pollster working in No10 quit and issued a chilling warning about the threat posed by Nigel Farage.
Will Dry confirmed he resigned from Downing Street before Christmas and it has since been revealed he is now doing polling on behalf of the Conservative Britain Alliance.
Conservative Britain Alliance were behind the damning YouGov MRP poll which showed the Tories were on course for a 1997-style wipeout.
Dry, who campaigned to stop Brexit after voting to leave the European Union, released a stinging statement about Sunak's premiership.

Dry even warned the current situation could ensure Labour will be in power for at least a decade.
In a statement given to The Sun, Dry said: "Everyone in this country can see just how colossal the challenges we face are.
"Sadly, it became clear to me we weren't providing the bold, decisive action required to overcome those challenges.
"You cannot dent them without internalising just how fundamentally broken our political system is.
"I further concluded, again sorrowfully, that the Conservative are heading for the most almighty of defeats.

Pressure is also mounting on Sunak after former Cabinet Minister Simon Clarke called on the Prime Minister to quit.
Farage is mulling over whether to return to frontline politics but remains fearful about a situation similar to 2015.
The former Brexit Party leader received 3.9 million votes while heading up Ukip but returned just one MP to the House of Commons in the 2015 General Election.

GETTYFarage fell short of being elected to Westminster himself after trailing Conservative candidate Craig Mackinlay by just 2,812 votes in Thanet South.
However, another former No10 pollster warned Farage could "crush" the Tories by returning to politics.
Speaking to GB News earlier this month, James Johnson said: "If Farage became leader of Reform, I think that would really very significantly boost their chances in terms of both vote share and in terms of their impact on the election.
“They’d have a much bigger chance of crushing the Tories, so to speak."
A recent Redfield & Wilton survey put Reform UK, which is currently led by Richard Tice, on 12 per cent of the vote, with the Tories reduced to just 22 per cent.

PAThe survey suggested Sir Keir Starmer's Labour Party is on course for a landslide victory on 45 per cent.
Dry's resignation announcement comes after YouGov's MRP poll revealed the Tory Party could find itself with just 169 seats in a defeat almost as crushing as in 1997.
The survey also suggested Reform UK may not win any seats but could prove a decisive factor in up to 96 Tory losses.
However, Sunak and Reform UK face a major test on February 15 with key by-elections held in Wellingborough and Kingswood.
Tice has extended an olive branch to disgruntled Tory MPs to defect to the populist party and even claimed “more than one” has been using secret backchannels to discuss the possibility of switching allegiances.
