Nigel Farage's pledge to proscribe Islamist organisation, Muslim Brotherhood as "dangerous" has been backed by the founder of Faith Matters.
Speaking to GB News, Fiyaz Mughal told GB News that he supports the plans put forward by the Reform UK leader, branding the Sunni Islamist organisation "shadowy and nefarious".
Speaking at the Reform UK conference in Birmingham this week, Mr Farage declared his party will "stop dangerous organisations with links to terrorism operating in our country", mentioning the Muslim Brotherhood as an example.
He added: "Quite why we have been so gutless about this, both Conservative and Labour, I do not know. All across the Middle East, countries have banned and proscribed the Muslim Brotherhood as a dangerous organisation. We will do the very same."

Delivering his verdict on the proposed ban, Mr Mughal told GB News: "It certainly has one tentacle and one link to Islamist extremism in this country, but there are many other potential links.
"The reality is I welcome a ban on the Muslim Brotherhood."
Explaining why, he added: "Lots of Muslim majority countries have been saying to successive UK Governments, why have they not taken action against Muslim Brotherhood, individual activists and financial sources in coming into the UK?
"And so, frankly, it's more than enough time for action to be taken against the Muslim Brotherhood."

He stated: "I warmly welcome a ban on this shadowy, nefarious group that has been promoting tensions, divisions across Europe but also within the United Kingdom."
Asked by GB News presenter Camilla Tominey for his thoughts on Britain's ongoing "flag row", Mr Mughal declared it is "not at all racist", but is "patriotic".

Questioned on newly elected Deputy Leader of the Green Party Mothin Ali's social media post branding those holding a Union Jack flag as "racist", Mr Mughal declared the remark should be "condemned".
He stated: "Such a simplistic and disgraceful comment like that needs to be condemned."
