Nigel Farage has claimed the "TUC is now starting to flex its political muscles" after General Secretary Paul Nowak "launched an attack" on Reform UK at the meeting of the Trade Union Congress in Brighton.
Nowak spoke to GB News political editor Christopher Hope yesterday and branded Farage a "fraud" and "no friend of the working class."
Speaking on GB News last night Farage responded: “Those of a certain age can remember when the TUC was immensely powerful and very, very political.
“I've just got a sense that this TUC is now starting to flex its political muscles in a way that we haven't actually seen for decades in this country.

“Interesting, isn't it? I mean, why should the General Secretary of the Trade Unions Congress choose to launch an attack on Reform, who may have a lot of voters but only have five Members of Parliament.
“This, I think, is a sign we're going to see a very political TUC.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
“Let’s face it, they still fund about 85 per cent of the Labour Party's income comes from trade unions. Labour are back in power.
“They were on best behaviour under the Conservatives. Now they have real leverage.
“[Paul Nowak] was a very political intervention.
“We’re going to hear a lot more about Paul Nowak. Whether he becomes a household name, like in the old days of the Len Murrays etc, I don’t know, but we’re going to hear more of him.”
During the conference, Nowak went even further his criticism as he blasted both Farage and Reform UK.
He said he doesn’t "believe for one moment that most of those who voted Reform at the last election are racist" he stressed Farage was a "public school educated, private equity loving, NHS privatising, Putin-apologist fraud".
Nowak argued that generations of migrants who have come to the UK to work "represent this country far better than the far-right ever will".
At the time Reform UK MP Lee Anderson fiercely responded: "Paul Nowak knows nowt. I've been with Nigel in Ashfield where he was mobbed by working-class people.
"These idiotic union leaders need to focus on the real enemy of the working class which is the Labour Party they help fund.
"The Unions and the Labour Party are no friend of the working class or our pensioners."
