Kemi Badenoch is in the running for Conservative leader
Nadine Dorries has launched a scathing attack on Kemi Badenoch and claimed that she "has no right" to be the next Prime Minister.
When asked who she was backing in the Tory leadership battle, the former MP stated "all three men have integrity" - the one glaring omission being the only woman in the race, Badenoch.
Speaking to GB News Political Editor Christopher Hope, Dorries said: "I think both James Cleverly, Robert Jenrick, Tom Tugendhat, all three individuals behaved with integrity during the last government.
"They didn't try to undermine any prime minister they served under.
Nadine Dorries brands Kemi Badenoch a "plotter"
"They always acted with professionalism and I think any one of those three candidates has already proved themselves to be the kind of person who would put the party first before self-interest.
"And so, you know, I'd be happy with any one of those."

She added: "Kemi Badenoch did plot. Look at the people that are supporting Kemi Badenoch today.
"Who are they? They're the same people who were the plotters against Boris Johnson and who supported Rishi Sunak.
"I think that if you can't serve a Prime Minister loyally when you're in cabinet or in government, then you don't automatically have the right to be elected as a Prime Minister in the future.
"Loyalty is very important. It's the number one quality that any candidate should have as far as I'm concerned."

She said: "So much continued to happen and I was given so much information.

"I did not want to write this book, but I was in a position where I had so much information, I just had to do it.
"And some of it I think people perhaps should know before they decide on who the leader is.
"But I didn't think that was fair to the party. So the the book comes out on the 21st November."
