GB News Home and Security Editor Mark White has dismissed the Prime Minister's acknowledgement that the migrant crisis is "deteriorating" as merely "stating the obvious" as crossings hit record highs.
Small boat crossings have surged dramatically, with approximately 17,000 migrants having made the illegal journey to the UK so far this year.
White noted to The Peoples Channel that "they've just kept on coming," despite various enforcement efforts by French authorities.
The surge continues even as violence escalates in northern French migrant camps.

Northern French migrant camps have descended into what a senior security source described to GB News as "a warzone at times."
Speaking on GB News, White explained: "Although Keir Starmer is focused on smashing the gangs, there are so many involved in the people smuggling trade and very robust supply lines.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
"If one particular supply line goes down, there are plenty of others that they can call on.
"This is one of those supply lines a back street lock-up in Germany, where boats that were manufactured in the backstreet factories of China come through, often through Turkey, end up in Germany.
"They're inflated, tested for any leaks, that's patched up, the engines are put together, then they're deflated, packed up, and then sent by road to France to be used by the migrants.
"So lots of boats there that are available, and not just in this lock-ups right across Germany and other European countries, all part of this huge people smuggling trade.
"If one particular supply line goes down, there are plenty of others that they can call on."
The violence stems from conflicts between established Kurdish people smuggling gangs and African migrants who attempt to board boats without paying.
The source explained: "We're seeing Kurdish gangs going after the Sudanese and other African migrants to mete out punishment to those planning to storm the small boats without paying."
In recent days, 10 migrants were shot in incidents at a camp near Dunkirk, with two fatalities.
On Monday morning, officers fired multiple tear gas canisters at hundreds of migrants waiting in sand dunes near Graveline beach.
Many migrants were forced to wait in waist-deep water for nearly an hour before boarding, whilst others surrendered under the thick blanket of tear gas.
White described witnessing "the beginnings of this so-called pushback strategy" with French rigid inflatables attempting to circle small boats and create waves to force them back.

"That particular effort was unsuccessful," White noted, explaining that despite these enhanced enforcement measures, migrants continue reaching UK waters.
Starmer admitted the migrant crisis is “deteriorating” after a round of crunch talks with European leaders at the G7 summit.
Following Starmer’s meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, a No10 spokesman said: “Migration should be a key focus given the deteriorating situation in the Channel, they confirmed - adding that they should continue to work closely with other partners to find innovative ways to drive forward progress.”
