The "one in, one out" migrant exchange deal proves that Britain is "cursed with stupid politicians", a political commentator has claimed.
Speaking to GB News, Esther Krakue declared that the migrant crisis should "not be blamed on the French", but instead blamed on the nation's "moronic politicians".
Following a three-day state visit to the UK, French President Emmanuel Macron joined Sir Keir Starmer to announce the migrant agreement, which would see Channel migrants detained, deported and swapped for "legitimate asylum seekers" from France.
Addressing Britons, Macron said: "This agreement will be signed once the legal verifications are carried out, including those of the European Union, and for it to be implemented thereafter as rapidly as possible."

Delivering her verdict on the deal, Krakue stated: "I don't think we should blame the French for the fact that we have moronic politicians.
"And I don't usually use that word often, but I do think we've been cursed with stupid politicians."
Comparing Britain's efforts to tackle the migrant crisis to other countries, Krakue added: "Australia, also an island, also English, also Commonwealth, in 2012 managed to solve this crisis, to the extent that they only had two people trying to illegally come across the open seas on small boats.
"Because major parties wanted it to happen and they had a very clear bipartisan agreement. They didn't have to pay £800million to the French to do anything about it."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Questioning the motive behind the deal with the French, Krakue suggested that the agreement is to encourage Britain to become "more involved with the EU".
Krakue said: "I suspect that this is probably a way to pressure the Brits to try and get more involved and cooperate more with the EU. That's fine, that's not our problem.
"The problem that should be concerning our politicians is how do we act in the interests of the countries that I'm assuming they still like?"
Criticising British politicians, Krakue continued: "I'd like to think our politicians actually like Britain and would like to keep it safe.
Krakue told GB News that Macron has 'no responsibility to Britain'

"And the easy answer is stop sending money to the French who have no interest in getting results, because the Belgians received money and they got results."
Warning that Britain is "at stake" amid the growing migrant crisis, Krakue concluded: "So if one doesn't work, you try something else, because at the end of the day, it's the country that you're supposed to be governing that's at stake here.
"Macron is not British, he doesn't have any responsibility to us."
