The President appeared confused as he closed off a speech in Washington DC

US President Joe Biden was escorted off stage by his wife, Dr Jill Biden, after a speech at a Human Right's Campaign dinner.

In the clip, Biden can be seen being led away after finishing off his speech, with the First Lady rushing up to guide him as the couple wave to the audience.

It’s not the first time the President has seen a situation like this, with slip-ups and moments of confusion seeming to plague Biden’s presidency.

The concerning moment comes as he prepares for a looming election, in which his age has become a major issue and one of voters’ main concerns.

If successful in his Presidential bid, Joe Biden, the oldest President in American history, would re-enter the White House for his second four-year term at the age of 82.

This follows a series of blunders made by the ageing President in the last few months.

During a 9/11 memorial service early in September, President Biden was quoted as claiming he had been present in New York the day after the attacks, describing the scene of as like “looking through the gates of hell”.

In fact, Biden hadn’t been present in New York until the 20th September, nine days after the attack.

In another bizarre moment, Biden walked off stage immediately following a medal of honor ceremony, leaving Captain Larry Taylor standing alone on stage.

The President’s age even led the US Libertarian to file a petition to put Biden under conservatorship, to grant someone else decision-making powers on his behalf, claiming he exhibits ‘obvious signs of mental confusion and cognitive decline’.
