A new party to the Left of Labour is 60 per cent likely to launch within three months, a leading leftwing journalist and senior figure in Unite the union has said.
Andrew Murray, who now works at the Morning Star newspaper and was formerly held a senior role at Unite, said that talks surrounding the party which could be led by former leader Jeremy Corbyn are advanced.

Asked if it were "odds-on" that a left wing party will be formed, he said: "I would say yes absolutely. It will happen 60 per cent or 70 per cent, within probably within the next three or four months."
