Suella Braverman's future on the line: Furious row erupts after claims Home Secretary IGNORED Rishi Sunak

Suella Braverman published an Op-Ed in which she accused the Met Police of 'bias'
Suella Braverman's future was in doubt this lunchtime after claims she defied No10 when publishing an inflammatory opinion piece accusing the Met Police of "bias" over Palestine protests.
It has been claimed that Downing Street asked the Home Secretary to make changes to the draft, but she ignored the request.
While allies of Braverman told GB News the article was sent to No 10 and "came back", they did not specify whether any changes were requested or made.
Asked about the Op-Ed, a spokesperson for Rishi Sunak said: "No it was not approved by No10.
"We are looking into the detail of this instance. It was not cleared by No10. We will update in due course."
But they said the Home Secretary still has the "full confidence" of the Prime Minister.
In the article, the Home Secretary accused the police of "playing favourites" with protests.
She said the pro-Palestinian marches are "problematic" because of "violence around the fringes", in addition to "highly offensive" chants, posters and stickers.
Braverman said: "Unfortunately, there is a perception that senior police officers play favourites when it comes to protesters," she said.
"Right-wing and nationalist protesters who engage in aggression are rightly met with a stern response yet pro-Palestinian mobs displaying almost identical behaviour are largely ignored, even when clearly breaking the law."
The Home Secretary has faced calls to step down over the comments.
One former Cabinet minister demanded Sunak sack Braverman ahead of Remembrance weekend, telling GB News she “completely overstepped”.
He said the Government should be focusing on making sure the weekend is “respected” rather than “posturing”
He added: “It falls far short of what is expected of a home sec”
Meanwhile, a senior Conservative told GB News: "She is clearly on her way out and going out with a bang".
Another told the Independent: "She must go", arguing it is unacceptable to “publicly undermine the police in this way”.
Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey also called for the Home Secretary to be sacked, saying: "Rishi Sunak must finally act with integrity by sacking his out-of-control Home Secretary."
But others backed Braverman's intervention, with Conservative MP Miriam Cates telling GB News she "fully supports" the intervention.
Meanwhile, a former minister said he is "surprised" at the "tone she has struck", but added that she is "voicing the concerns of many colleagues".

He added: "But I don’t think it’s a case of favouritism. It’s just weakness by Rowley.
"Compare the Met’s current stance with the way they treated those poor women at the Sarah Everard vigil. And taking the knee before BLM rioters outside Downing Street.
"Rowley is not up to it."
