Angela Rayner breaks up with ‘soulmate’ Labour MP Sam Tarry in bid to start new chapter

Angela Rayner has reportedly broken up with her Labour MP partner just days before the deputy Labour leader appeared in the House of Commons.
The mother-of-three is reported to have ended her relationship with Sam Tarry who she previously described as her “soulmate”.
Rayner, 43, is said to have ended the relationship just one day before her appearance in the House of Commons on Wednesday.
According to friends of the deputy Labour leader, Rayner wishes to start a new chapter.

“She's been through a lot in her life but Ange is as tough as nails,” one friend told the Mirror.
“You saw that this week, when she put her secret heartache aside and took the charge to the Tories at the despatch box.”
Another friend added: “Ange has a lot of friends right across the Labour Party looking out for her.
“They've really rallied round.

“Breaking up is never easy but she's bouncing back and getting on with the job of representing people.
“She'll take this in her stride.”
Rayner gave no hint of stress on Wednesday as she led Labour’s second-day response to debate over the King’s Speech.
At a fundraising dinner in Tarry’s Ilford South constituency, Rayner described Tarry as “one of the most kind-hearted, amazing individuals and he's also my soulmate”.

She added: “And I actually think you're incredibly lucky to have him as your MP because I get to see a lot of Sam, and I get to see a lot of behind the scenes, and I see how much he cares.”
Tarry was sacked as a Labour shadow minister after giving a TV interview while on a picket line supporting rail strikes.
Tarry lashed out at Starmer, describing the row as a “manufactured political circus”.
