Nigel reacts to four in 10 Channel migrants coming from Albania

Albania was the source of four in 10 Channel migrants during a six-week period this summer, according to a secret military intelligence report.

More than 1000 men from Albania, a country which is a member of NATO and popular tourist destination, crossed the Channel into Britain during periods of warm weather and calm waters, Mail Plus reported.

GB News exclusively revealed last week dozens of Albanian TikTok accounts have been boasting about successfully getting people from France to Britain.

"Little did I know just the extent to which Albanians have started to come", Nigel said.

Reacting to the astonishing statistics, Nigel remarked: "Let's get this straight: Albania is a NATO member.

He continued: "Albania is an applicant to the join the European Union."

"Albania is a holiday destination for people from the United Kingdom and not one single one of those young men that have come from Albania would ever qualify as a refugee under any definition.

"And we have the power in that case, as they've come illegally, to send them back.

"And yet we appear to be doing nothing.

"What I can tell you is the Albanian involvement in the drugs trade and many other illegal activities is reaching a level which genuinely worries the Metropolitan Police."

More than 13,000 migrants have crossed the English Channel since Priti Patel announced her plan to send asylum seekers to Rwanda, new figures show.

According to the Ministry of Defence, 176 people made the crossing on five small boats on Sunday, bringing the total to 13,016 since April 14.

It brings the total number of people who have crossed the English Channel so far this year to 18,284.

Photographs taken on Monday morning showed another group of migrants, clad in life jackets and face masks, being brought into Dover by Border Force officials.

A number of children and babies wrapped in light blue blankets, apparently distributed by the authorities, were among those being moved from the vessel to a waiting bus.
