Trump arrived in the UK and pointed out the blindingly obvious: on immigration, you’d better get your act together. He said: “You're not going to have Europe anymore. You've got to get your act together.
"Biden, he said, was a total stiff and what he allowed to happen was disgraceful. But we’re allowing it to happen in our own countries, and we’ve got to stop this horrible invasion of Europe. This immigration is killing the continent."
We’re being invaded. And the bleeding-heart liberals would have you believe that these people are fleeing persecution which, yes, maybe some are. But it’s clear that large numbers are arriving illegally across the Channel every single day.
So brazen are they that some have even turned up on a luxury yacht. It's completely unsustainable. What will it take for the bleeding left and indeed, the Government to change tack?

|'The UK has stakes in the wars and climate crisis that are causing people to flee their homes'
It’s really important for people to understand that there are no safe and legal routes for refugees to come to this country. This is the only way they can come on a boat, and pay to do so.
They’ve got the whole of Europe to move through, leaving their families behind why should we bear that burden more than others? Still, we must take responsibility for the role we’ve played: the UK has stakes in the wars and climate crisis that are causing people to flee their homes.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
But just wait until they move next door to you. That’s the epitome of naivety. Meanwhile, a steady flow of thousands are making it to the UK—and instead of discouraging them, we are actively encouraging them. Four-star hotels.
Cash handouts. Gambling in casinos. Brand new phones because they’ve thrown theirs in the sea. Laptops with Wi-Fi. Vouchers for experiences. And three square meals a day. Is it any wonder people are protesting when farmers are being taxed to death?
Since Rachel Reeves announced her inheritance tax hike, 6,365 agriculture, forestry and fishing businesses have shut in the past year. Well done, Rachel. Bravo. She hasn’t got a clue.
Pubs are closing down at an alarming rate, crippled by business rates, wage increases, and God help us when Angela Rayner’s Workers' Bill kicks in. Meanwhile, junior doctors are on strike again, demanding more money even after clever old Wes Streeting handed them two pay rises worth over 27 per cent in less than two years, with no conditions attached, despite their generous pensions.
The British taxpayer has been fleeced from every direction by Chancellor Rachel Reeves. The Government said it would end the use of migrant hotels, so now they're looking at councils to buy up empty homes for asylum seekers. Oh, great. So while young British people can’t get on the housing ladder because it’s too expensive, and are shoved to the back of the queue for council homes, we’re housing people who arrived illegally. It’s all the wrong way round.
We should be stopping the boats. It’s not cruel to admit we can’t save everyone. There have to be limits.
You know, I’m tempted to lead a double life. Throw away my wig so you wouldn’t recognise me, go to France, pay a smuggler, get on a dinghy, chuck away my passport, land back in the UK, pretend to seek asylum and live rent-free for a few years. Clear my debts. Stop paying bills. Then just reappear later as a British citizen.
The only way to stop this is to smash the gangs running the vile trade. And yet, that’s failed as has reducing the use of migrant hotels. Since Labour came to power, Channel crossings are up 50 per cent. This country is breaking at the seams.

|'This should be our number one political focus'
And it’s not just illegal entrants, legal migration is through the roof too. This should be our number one political focus because it affects all of us. Immigration is a real problem. But what are our leaders talking about? Gaza. And recognising Palestine as a state.
Reports are emerging of another fatal incident near a distribution centre in Hamas-controlled Gaza. There’s been a lot of focus, rightly, on people being killed while trying to access aid.
And listen, I don’t have a problem with that conversation. But maybe we should focus on saving this country first. Right now, we are giving it away.
We’ve become experts at giving away what belongs to us. Chagos? Why did we do that? Fishing rights to the EU with no concessions, why? We couldn’t even make them agree to take back people crossing the Channel. Perhaps we should’ve taken a leaf out of Donald Trump’s book.
But oh no. It’s time for both left and right to unite and end the industry of illegal immigration before we hit a point of no return. If we haven’t already. Donald Trump is absolutely right.
