The tide is officially turning in British politics. New bombshell polling from YouGov has shown that mass immigration is now the number one issue for British voters:
50 per cent of voters now say immigration is a top issue for them, a higher percentage than the economy. This represents the highest concern since the vote for Brexit in 2016.
And it’s not hard to see why.
What we are facing here is a quarter of a century of broken promises. Let’s be honest. Under both Labour and the Tories, from Tony Blair to Boris Johnson, the British people have been lied to, misled and gaslit.
Matt Goodwin has painted a bleak picture for the two major parties

Consistently, all they’ve asked for is LOWER immigration and control of their borders. That’s it. Less. Immigration.
But the ruling class in this country has refused to listen, has refused to treat the British people with the respect and decency they deserve.
Instead, the elites in this country have flooded Britain with seemingly endless amounts of low-skill, low-wage immigration that has made us poorer, that has divided our country, that has driven crime, and left the country we love unrecognisable
And they’ve done all this while not paying the costs of it.
It’s not the elites in this country who have to navigate the enormous costs of mass uncontrolled immigration –it’s you, the hardworking, tax-paying, law-abiding British people
It seems that whether the British people vote for more or less migration, they always get more of it.
And it’s no wonder that it’s yet again the biggest concern of the public and we are witnessing a brewing political revolt, the likes of which never seen before in modern British political history.
Keir Starmer wasn’t wrong when he said we have been running an open borders experiment, but the problem is, neither he nor his Labour government have a plan to solve it.
Sir Keir Starmer’s migration plan will not make any difference.
His new plan is frankly offensive to the British people. Migration will remain in the hundreds of thousands for years to come - exactly what the British people do not want.
Even government insiders admit that what they mean by “lower immigration” is net migration returning to 525,000 a year –about 200,000 higher than the vote for Brexit
Keir Starmer’s plan will do nothing to stop the small boats crisis, it will not return net migration to the tens of thousands, and it will not put the British people where they belong to be –first.
The British people have already been betrayed at every turn, and I’m afraid under this government, they can only expect to be betrayed again.
