We have to pray to God that this country doesn’t get attacked by foreign invaders, writes columnist Carole Malone

We have to pray to God that this country doesn’t get attacked by foreign invaders while the wimp Starmer is in charge. Because when asked what he thought about it, he’d probably hedge his bets and say we’d have to wait to find out the reasons why we were attacked.

In fact, having watched his weaseliness over Venezuela, he’d probably thank whoever attacked us and say Britain would have to learn lessons.

Can you believe this pathetic excuse for a Prime Minister had absolutely nothing useful to say about Trump snatching Mr and Mrs Maduro from Venezuela? And he added that we’d have to wait to find out the reasons.

So, let’s get this right, The Donald invades a South American country (probably illegally) kidnaps its corrupt leader and his Mrs, then drags them both back up to the US, where they’re flung in a dirty prison cell with a whole load of America’s worst offenders.

And our Prime Minister’s got zilch to say – apart from the usual appeasing weasel words where he completely separates himself from what’s happened and trots out rubbish like: “I reiterate my support for international law.”

He then expanded the guff and said: “We need to piece it together. I need to speak to President Trump (like he wants to speak to you matey) and I need to speak to our allies.”

Why is he hoping they’ll tell him what to say? “But I don’t shy away from this,” he whined. But of course, that’s exactly what Starmer’s done here. It’s what he does on everything.

“I need to come to a decision about the consequences in relation to the actions that have been taken,” he said. Er, no, he doesn’t because the truth is he will do absolutely nothing – and that’s despite the fact that for years he supported the maniac Corbyn in his adoration of this Narco terrorist state. As did so many of those backbenchers now screaming for Trump’s head.

But the fact is, none of these idiots actually give a stuff about the Venezuelan people or the Hellish lives they’ve had to live under the despotic regimes of Hugo Chavez and Nicholas Maduro.

As for Starmer saying he supports international law – no, he doesn’t. If he did, he’d have condemned Trump to Hell and back, but he said nothing for fear of upsetting him.

For the record, I think Trump did absolutely the right thing in removing the dictator Maduro. And from the reports of Venezuelans celebrating in the streets, they think so too.

Because this is very good for their country, a country where democracy is dead, where people are starving, where inflation stands at 250 per cent. It’s a country that, between 2018-2025, lost 80 per cent of its GDP thanks to its corrupt socialist government.

It’s like Reform Boss Nigel Farage says - Yes, the strikes were unorthodox and contrary to international law, “but if they make China and Russia think twice, they may be a good thing”.

But while the Venezuelan people are celebrating the removal of the Madman Maduro, the deranged Leftie nutters here are foaming at the mouth.

The breast whisperer, otherwise known as Greens’ leader, Zack Polanski, has been rendered (even more) unhinged by Trump’s attack and is screaming for Starmer to “do something”.

What exactly should he do? Tell Trump he’s a naughty boy? That's literally all he could have done, and he didn’t even have the guts to do that.

Then there’s Nutcase in Chief, Jezza Corbyn, who has always supported the Venezuelan Government under both socialist presidents Hugo Chavez and Maduro.

“We Stand with Venezuela,” shouts the crumbling old Commie. Why? Is it because he likes dictatorships? Does he like dissidents “disappearing” if they dare to speak out against their government? Does he like the idea of people being starved and tortured?

Venezuela was once a rich, proud, democratic country, but thanks to Chavez and Maduro, it’s been reduced to economic rubble. More than eight million people have fled since Maduro came to power after rigging the election.

Maybe this is exactly the kind of socialist regime Polanski, Corbyn, Zara Sultana (her contribution – “This is naked U.S imperialism”), and Ed Davey want to see here in Britain.

These no-marks clearly fancy a dictatorship. They obviously like the idea of people being subjugated and being told: “Do what we say – or else.”

On top of all this, Starmer is facing a rebellion from his own crazed backbenchers who are also screaming at him to “do something”. They do know it's Starmer they’re talking to, don’t they – the man infamous for doing nothing about anything for fear of what the repercussions (to his job) might be.

In fact, if ever there’s been a subservient poodle to the American President, it's Starmer. No other British leader has come close to his level of boot-licking and grovelling.

So, those backbenchers demanding he take Trump on over this must surely know they are wasting their breath. Anyway, where were all these idiot lefties when Maduro’s Government was assassinating the Venezuelan people? Why haven’t we heard them screaming about Venezuelans being starved and tortured and their once great country being reduced to penury by its bent, corrupt government?

You know what I wish – that Starmer had just a fraction of Trump’s balls, that he would tackle Britain’s problems with the same kind of ruthlessness as Trump tackles America’s.

If he did, he could smash the gangs in a heartbeat – just like Trump has just done with the Venezuelan gangs. He could stop immigration like Trump has just done.

But he won’t, which is why under this “socialist” Government Britain is squaring up to be the same kind of economic basket case as Venezuela!
