Keir Starmer's political survival depends on the Muslim vote

Starmer is such a cowardly figure. His shocking betrayal of Israel is to save his own skin as he fears British Muslims will desert Labour en masse for Corbyn, or even worse, vote for their own Islamic candidates if he doesn’t turn his back on the only democracy in the Middle East.

That would spell not just a massive defeat for Labour in one General Election, but almost certainly wave goodbye to political power forever.

It’s quite clear when looking at those Ministers who are said by The Times to have put pressure on Starmer is that many have Muslims in their backyards.

Take Wes Streeting, the Health Secretary. The Times says Streeting pressed Starmer ‘’surprisingly hard’’ in private to recognise Palestine. If you look at Streeting’s North Ilford constituency in Essex, you will know why.

At last July’s General Election, Streeting had a majority of 528. There are 32.5 per cent Muslims in his area.

He might well have been toast under any circumstances, but there’s no doubt he would have had to polish up his broom sweeping skills had he not bent over to Hamas.

Take Shabana Mahmood, the Justice Secretary. In the election in Ladywood, Birmingham, she had a narrow majority of 3,421.

She describes herself as ‘’devout Muslim’’ and she needs every one of the 7.7 per cent of Muslims in her area to vote for her or she will be thrown out.

The way to keep them onside is to back Palestine, even though it is their people who have been trying to destroy Israel for more than seven decades.

Take Angela Rayner. The Deputy Prime Minister. She has a 6,791 majority in her Ashton-under-Lyne constituency, but with 10,000 Muslims in the area, she would be thrown out even faster than she is likely to be if they turned against her.

That would also explain her decision to set up a panel to define Islamophobia. There is no other religion where you cannot either criticise it or mock it. Only Islam. Why? Just look at how many Labour MPs will benefit from the definition being adopted.

Let me name three: Streeting, Mahmood and Rayner. There’s almost certainly another 50. And, of course, Starmer, because along with his decision on Palestine, it gives him a chance, I agree, a very remote one, of still being Labour leader.

And, I regret to report, that thanks to another quite mad immigration tribunal judge, the number of Muslims coming here is likely to grow dramatically.

The Times reports that a 41-year-old Bangladeshi man, who came here on a student visa (how did that happen?) has just defeated the Home Office’s attempts to deport him by claiming he was gay, had gone to Pride events and met his partner at an LGBT and transgender club in Newcastle.

Gives a new meaning to the Geordie expression Howay the lads.

He claimed he would face persecution as a gay man if he returned to Bangladesh, where homosexuality is illegal under its medieval laws. Why do we have to suffer the consequences of their religion?

Being gay cannot be allowed to be the reason for beating deportation, as there are a billion Muslim men in the world, and if only 0.5 per cent decide to deploy the ‘’I’m gay’’ story to stay here, we will be taking in another five million illegals.

Once again, Starmer says nothing, but I can assure him that if he continues to woo the Muslims at the expense of the majority, he will suffer grievously at the polls.

In the meantime, Starmer forces us to suck up decisions like Palestine. The great news is that Benjamin Netanyahu won’t take the slightest notice. I salute him and his beleaguered people.

We are with you, even if Labour are not.
