Gary Neville, tell me more about morals while you're in a country that kills gay people, says Patrick Christys

Gary Neville was a decent right back, but he’s a terrible left-winger

Gary Neville was a decent right back, but he’s a terrible left-winger and, frankly, comes across like a bit of a tit.

There is a special type of narcissism reserved for Gary Neville who treated us all to a party political broadcast during a World Cup final like some kind. Weirdo - I think he thinks he’s doing the Lord’s work but actually, he just sounds a bit thick.

That World Cup final was one of the best games of football the world has ever seen, it was non-stop, gripping, a rollercoaster of emotions, one player getting a hat trick and ending upon the losing side, another being crowned as the best player of all time, impeccably refereed.

Of all of the times that Neville could have piped up with his party political broadcast that was the most pointless and irrelevant.

There’s a touch of the Prince Harry’s about old Gary. I think he genuinely feels as though he’s tapped into a higher echelon of intellect and his duty on this planet is to pass that wisdom down onto mere mortals watching a World Cup final with a Fray Bentos pie and a can of special brew.

But like Prince Harry, he appears to be unaware of his own hypocrisy.

Gary Neville is worth millions. He has a huge profile the footballing world. He could have easily sat the World Cup out if he wanted. If he has any moral compass at all. Yet instead he took a bag full of cash from a murderous, despotic, gay hating, woman hating, slave-labour loving regime in the shape of Qatar. It’s like climate activists taking private jets to attend a demonstration.

Tell me more about good morals, Gary, while you’re lining your own pockets sitting in a country where gay people are killed, women have no rights and slaves died building the very stadium the final was played in. And he tried to link that to the nurses strike. Those things are not the same, Gary. Oh, and Gary, are you aware that the Labour Party, which you’re a member of, doesn’t support giving them a pay rise either?

I think nurses should be paid more, but I just don’t think the man who is taking millions from a murderous Sharia-law infused government should be the one to tell me that. I wouldn’t mind, but if Gary Neville is as good at politics as he is at football management then the Tory candidate who stands against him hasn’t got anything to worry about.

Gary only got the Valencia job because his mate owned the club, his stint as Valencia manager had more that just a whiff of the old stale white men taking boardroom jobs for the boys about it, and after 28 games and a shocking win rate of 35% he was out on his backside. When he was England coach we got booted out of the Euros after we lost to Iceland.

If you work for Gary Neville, at any one of his many business interests, get in touch with him because he now has a moral duty to give you a pay rise in line with inflation, back-dated and, like the rail workers, why doesn’t Gary give them job security for a couple of years as well.

Like most idiotic poundshop Trots, Gary Neville is at his tub thumping best when he’s the only one making a point.

Well, did he do anything to highlight the issues over there? He was on the state broadcaster doing analysis, did he discuss human rights/workers rights abuses at all on Qatari TV? Absolutely not. No way. Course not. He’ll just take their money and keep quiet like a good little boy. But then the viewers on British telly have to sit through his little manifesto speech.

Look, I don’t disagree with Gary Neville’s sentiment, and I’m a Manchester United fan, I just thought the execution was wrong. Having said that, he can get execution lessons from his new best mates, the multi-billionaire Qataris, who, actually, would definitely have him killed for his political views if he lived in their country.
