Zara Aleena’s murderer has allegedly been caught having sex with a female prison worker while jailed.
Jordan McSweeney, 30, was found guilty of murdering the 35-year-old in June 2022 and was sentenced six months later in December of the same year.
McSweeney had previously been in prison for robbery, but was released just nine days earlier on licence.
After breaching his licencing conditions shortly after his release, recall proceedings were begun against him two days before the murder, but they were not put in place in time to save Aleena.

After being thrown out of a bar for harassing staff and then attempting to approach several women, McSweeney stalked the aspiring lawyer in Ilford, East London, before grabbing her from behind and dragging her into a driveway.
He then proceeded to strangle and stamp on her, as well as sexually attack her.
The victim was left struggling to breathe following the nine-minute “merciless” attack.
Aleena sustained 46 separate injuries and later died as a result of them in hospital.

The Daily Mail has now revealed that despite the 30-year-old being held in HMP Belmarsh, one of the UK’s top-security prisons which includes some of the country’s most dangerous offenders, he was caught having sex with one its prison workers in April 2023.
The couple managed to gain access to a private room inside the prison, which they locked behind them.
The 32-year-old worker, who is not a prison officer, has been suspended and arrested on suspicion of misconduct.
She faces the possibility of being imprisoned herself, with the Ministry of Justice having previously warned that it takes all allegations of staff wrongdoing “extremely seriously”.
An internal investigation is said to be underway to determine how the incident took place.
The Metropolitan Police said: “On 6 April 2023, the Met received an allegation of inappropriate conduct involving a serving member of staff at HMP Belmarsh.
“The same day, a 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
“She was bailed pending further enquiries until a date in late July. She was later released under investigation. Enquiries are ongoing.”
A Prison Service spokesman said: “It would be inappropriate to comment on a live police investigation.”
