The woman who was killed worked as a porter at the university, according to Polsat News.
A spokesman for the district prosecutor's office confirmed that a female administrative employee had been killed at the scene.
The security guard was taken to hospital in critical condition following the attack.
Prosecutor Piotr Antoni Skiba told Interia there were "two injured parties" following "an action by a third party" on the university grounds.
