Pakistan has claimed to have killed as many as 50 Indian soldiers near the Kashmir border in a tit-for-tat retaliation for air strikes carried out by the Indian army earlier this week.
India's strikes were carried out as part of a nine-part attack against locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-controlled territories.
Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan Attuallah Tarar said: "We have blown their [Indian] military installations on the de facto border."
The Indian defence ministry said that it has "neutralised" attempts by Pakistan to "engage" several military targets in its northern and western regions on Wednesday night and early Thursday.

India's foreign minister met with his Iranian counterpart in New Delhi today.
Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar told Seyed Abbas Araghchi: "You are visiting India at a time when we are responding to a particularly barbaric terrorist attack on April 22".
The Indian armed forces also targeted air defence radars and systems at several locations in Pakistan on May 8.
Speaking in a televised address last night, Pakistan's Prime Minister said India will "now have to pay the price".

He said: "For the blatant mistake that India made last night, it will now have to pay the price. Perhaps they thought that we would retreat, but they forgot that... this is a nation of brave people."
The escalating tension follows India's "Operation Sindoor" onslaught, which resulted in huge explosions across at least three cities.
Pakistan vowed to respond to the "cowardly attack" on May 6, adding that Islamabad "will respond to this at a time and place of its choosing".
A Pakistan military spokesperson reported that 31 civilians have been killed in the attack, rising from 26.

The bombardment struck a mosque in the city of Bahawalpur in Punjab, killing a child at the location.
Indian intelligence claimed to be a headquarters for the Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group.
New Delhi stressed it targeted at least nine sites "where terrorist attacks against India have been planned".
"Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistan military facilities have been targeted," the statement said.
