Any mist or fog patches soon clearing from southern areas, then many areas having a dry day with bright or sunny spells

Today:

Any mist or fog patches soon clearing from southern areas, then many areas having a dry day with bright or sunny spells. Showers in the far north, some heavy, with more persistent rain for north-west Scotland.


Tonight:

Further rain at times across northern areas, whilst clear spells in the south allow for some fog patches to form.

Tuesday:

A good deal of cloud with some rain at times in the north and east. Dry in the south-west with some sunshine at times.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Largely dry in the south with patchy morning fog and bright or sunny spells. Rain and stronger winds at times in the north and temporarily turning colder here on Friday.
