Marcus Gibson warned: 'There's no going back on this'
Journalist Marcus Gibson has issued a stark warning over the UK Power Grid, claiming it will collapse in 2035.
The journalist, who slammed Net Zero targets as a "suicide pill for the British economy", said the UK is facing an "energy supply crisis".
Speaking to GB News at the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (Arc) Conference in London, he said he has been in talks with professional power engineers, who have warned that the grid will grind to a halt in just over 10 years' time.
Gibson said: "People think we have a climate crisis, which we don't. What we really do have is an energy supply crisis.
"Because I've been talking to professional power engineers about this. And they tell me that on the 20th of April 2035, the UK Power Grid is likely to collapse.
"That's due to a coalescence of a whole series of factors. We've only got three coal-fired power stations left now we're closing them down.
"The French nuclear power stations which we've been drawing power from they'll be far fewer in those in those times.
"Secondly, there's increasing anger at the amount of the forests we're using for wood pellets to go in our biggest power stations. 12 per cent of our power comes from the Drax power station in Southern Yorkshire - that might go.
"You know, there's a whole series of other things - the ban on fracking, the ban on new oil fields, except for one or two.
"All of this will come together on the 20th of April, which by the way, is Hitler's birthday, at the end of a long winter.
"And of course, if we have 1 million immigrants a year, each year to 2035, the load on the on the grid will be much greater anyway.
"And then we've got 1 million at the moment electric vehicles, that's due to be 25 million by 2035.
"And of course, at that time, we still don't know if Russia will be a friend of ours, or whether they'll be the last country to help us in an energy crisis.

"All those factors will come together in 2035. And the grid will collapse."
When pressed by GB News Presenter Nana Akua, who asked if he could be seen as a "catastrophiser" or a "climate denier", Gibson said: "These are energy figures which cannot be ignored.
"My information comes from professional power engineers, which are the only people we should be talking to about these things. Energy doesn't lie. When you overload a grid it will collapse."
He added: "There's no going back on this."
