Tommy Robinson has been arrested at Luton Airport after an alleged assault at London St Pancras station.

The 42-year-old was detained at 6.30pm on Monday after flying in from Faro, Portugal.


The arrest is connection with an incident at St Pancras station, London where a man was allegedly assaulted.

The reported assault, which resulted in a man being hospitalised with serious head injuries, happened at the London rail terminus on July 28.

It is understood that Robinson left the UK and travelled to Tenerife in the early hours of August 29 following the incident.

In a statement, the British Transport Police said: "Officers from BTP have tonight (4 August) arrested a 42-year-old man from Bedfordshire in connection to an assault at St Pancras station on 28 July.

"The arrest took place at Luton Airport shortly after 6.30pm, following a notification that the man had boarded an incoming flight from Faro.

"The man had been wanted for questioning after leaving the country to Tenerife in the early hours of 29 August following the incident at St Pancras.

"He was arrested on suspicion of GBH (Grievous Bodily Harm) and will now be taken to custody for questioning."
