Sinead O’Connor has been admitted to hospital – just days after her 17-year-old son was found dead.
The “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer said she had felt “lost” following her son Shane’s death.
Shane O’Connor disappeared from Tallaght Hospital and was found dead on Thursday.
The 55-year-old posted on Twitter on Thursday she believed “Shane’s death was no one’s fault but my own”, before deactivating her account.
She came back online an hour later, telling fans she was safe and “with the cops on way to hospital.”

In a tribute posted on an unconfirmed social media account reportedly ran by Sinead, the singer said: "My beautiful son, Nevi’im Nesta Ali Shane O’Connor, the very light of my life, decided to end his earthly struggle today and is now with God.
"May he rest in peace and may no one follow his example. My baby. I love you so much. Please be at peace."
Her son requested a note that he had a traditional Hindu funeral with only his parents at the service.
Shane’s funeral is due to take place on Sunday.
