A passenger plane carrying 49 people has crashed in Russia, leaving no survivors.
The aircraft was travelling from the city of Blagoveshchensk to Tynda, in the Far East.
It however earlier "disappeared from the radar" prompting a search, according to regional Governor Vasily Orlov.
A rescue helicopter located the burning fuselage in the far eastern Amur region, an emergencies official said.
A picture taken from the scene of the crash shows smoke rising from a woodland.
It is said there were 43 passengers, including five children, as well as six crew onboard.
There were no survivors, according to Russian news Agency Tass, citing preliminary data.
The agency added that a crew error during landing in poor visibility is considered a reason for the crash.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Authorities are said to have launched an investigation.
According to reports, the plane involved is an AN-24 operated by Angara Airlines.
The airline is based in Russia and is one of the main air carriers on domestic routes in Eastern Siberia.
On the Angara Airlines website, it states: "Angara Airlines was based in 2000 and now it’s the major airline on domestic flights in Siberia and the leader of flights from Irkutsk airport.

"The base airports is Irkutsk and Novosibirsk. We operate schedule flights in Siberia region and other regions in Russian Federation as well as charter flights."
The airline describes the AN-24 as a "passenger turbo-prop plane for short and medium lines".
It states that the aircraft has 48 seats available.
