Idrissa Gana Gueye missed French side Paris Saint Germain's 4-0 rout of Montpellier on Saturday because he refused to wear a shirt featuring the rainbow flag, according to French media reports.
The former Everton midfielder was in the travelling PSG squad but was not on their team sheet.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed the player "had to leave the team sheet for personal reasons. But he isn't injured".
Gueye, who is from Senegal, missed the same round of fixtures last season with "stomach problems", according to French newspaper L'Equipe.
The midfielder's absence raised suspicions over whether he had missed the game due to the LGBT-themed printing on the backs of the PSG shirts.
Last weekend, Ligue 1 teams had the LGBT printing on their shirts and the captains armbands were also used as part of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia on May 17.
Prior to dispatching Montpellier, PSG tweeted: "On World Day Against Homophobia, our jerseys will have the rainbow flag, symbol of peace and diversity of the LGBT movement. #MHSCPSG"
The Parisians host Metz for this last game of the campaign, with the league title already sewn up.
