A pro-Kremlin leader has sent a fresh nuclear missile warning to the UK and US in an astonishing claim on state television.
The Ministry of Defence has raised concerns regarding Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, Zaporizhzhia, which was taken over by Russian troops in March shortly after their February 24 invasion of Ukraine.
UN nuclear chief Rafael Grossi last week said the power plant, located in the south-eastern Ukrainian city of Enerhodar, is “completely out of control”.
Both Russia and Ukraine have accused each other of shelling the plant in recent days, with Moscow saying Kyiv was trying to "take Europe hostage”.

While Russia has also launched its own attacks from the plant as Vladimir Putin’s assault on Ukraine continues.
But speaking on state TV Channel One, Yury Kot, a pro-Kremlin leader from Ukrainian movement Parus, warned that missiles will strike both the UK and US if the nuclear plant is damaged.
Mr Kot said: “We all understand very well that (Ukraine and the West) are concocting a fictional reality.
“We are dealing with the reality.
“We need to tell Ukraine and its supporting countries - Britain and America foremost…and make it clear.
“If Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant is damaged and a disaster occurs, two missiles will immediately strike your decision-making centres.
“One in Washington, the other in London.
“Nuclear ones. And that’s it….there won't be any more talk.”
