Mr Johnson said GB News has 'presented new perspectives and served new audiences'

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has sent GB News a message on our first birthday.

The channel celebrated one year since it launched yesterday, with many people sending their wishes on the anniversary.


And Mr Johnson has now sent his own personal message, saying that GB News has "presented new perspectives and served new audiences".

The PM said: "A year in - hired great talent, presented new perspectives and served new audiences."

Presenters from across GB News have also spoken out about the anniversary.

Nigel Farage said: "GB News launched a year ago today and is making great progress. British Broadcasting needed a shakeup, and that’s what we are doing."

While Dame Arlene Foster added: "Happy 1st birthday to us all ⁦GB News⁩. It’s been a blast and looking forward to what happens next! The Briefing.

"Big shout out to all behind the scenes who make it all happen."

On the Money presenter Liam Halligan also said: "Well, exactly one year on today, GB News is thriving –with a solid tech platform, a strong line-up of appointment-to-view shows and a fast-growing audience."
