GB News host Patrick Christys has exposed widespread non-compliance with the UK's new disposable vape ban as he successfully purchased illegal products from multiple London shops just one day after the legislation came into force.
Patrick visited numerous vape retailers on a London street "filled with vape shops" and discovered that despite the ban taking effect on June 1, many were still openly selling disposable vapes to customers.
"I don't think anyone's really adhering to that ban, and I'm pretty sure that it's totally unenforceable," Patrick said during his investigation.
"The police don't seem to be doing anything about it."

After purchasing what he described as an illegal disposable vape, Patrick demonstrated the product, noting it "can't really charge" and had "disposable on the front of it."
The disposable vape ban officially came into force on June 1, making it illegal for businesses to sell, offer to sell, or possess for sale all single-use vapes, whether they contain nicotine or not.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
Under the new regulations, vapes must now be rechargeable and refillable, or incorporate a pod system. Retailers were previously contacted by Trading Standards and instructed to stop purchasing new disposable stock and sell through existing inventory before the deadline.
Trading Standards officers have enforcement powers to seize non-compliant stock and issue fixed penalty fines. Continued violations after warnings can result in higher fines, premises closure orders, and potential prosecution. Retailers must also properly dispose of any remaining disposable stock in designated vape bins to prevent fire risks.
Patrick's street investigation revealed the extent of non-compliance among London vape retailers. Walking "up and down this stretch of road," he attempted to purchase disposable vapes from multiple shops to test whether the ban was being enforced.
The GB News presenter successfully obtained what he confirmed was an illegal disposable vape product. "There you go. Now, that is illegal," he said after the purchase, demonstrating how easily banned products remained available to consumers.
After the investigation, Patrick said: "I would just like to say that I think that this entire law is absolutely bonkers.
"Should never have come into force. I don't care about it. I don't think anyone really cares about it.
"The point is that if you introduce a law and then just don't enforce it, I think it erodes away at British society, doesn't it?

"It's like when you're not bothering about people tube jumping, you're not paying for tickets, you're not bothering about people shoplifting.
"You bring in a law and you don't bother to enforce it. No one, no one thinks they have to stick to it for a single second. What's the point?"
